Emberville weapons & combos

Combat in Emberville rewards positioning, timing and knowledge, and every weapon category has its own combos. Here is what has actually been shown.

Wiki Verified Applies to Demo Prologue / preview builds (Sep–Oct 2026)

Four weapon types have been shown in Emberville: bow, brass knuckles, sword and staff. Each has weapon-bound combos, and weapons improve through use-based masteries. The bow is being reworked before Early Access. Press Official Dev

Weapon perks

Each weapon carries passive bonuses, which Gamer Social Club found made every weapon combination feel like a distinct build. Aiming uses the mouse cursor on keyboard and mouse. Press

The bow rework

The delay announcement uses the bow as its example: “Reworking bow combat, for example, would take more time than we had prior to our Early Access release.” Anything you learned about the bow in the demo may change on January 7, 2027. Dev

Swapping weapons

In WayTooManyGames’ preview build, you couldn’t quick-swap between two weapons: you had to place weapons in item slots, with no quick way back to the previous one. Gamer Social Club reported the same: no hotbar or cycling, so you change weapons from the inventory. Treat this as preview-era behavior. Press Press

Attack rate and stun fixes

  • Demo Alpha 0.20.18 fixed “some issues related to attack rate calculation.” Dev
  • Alpha Demo 0.20.17 fixed Palm Strike stunning 100% of the time. Dev

Weapon leveling is covered under masteries.
